Mission, Objectives, and Principles

The Irvine Police Association is dedicated to uniting all persons within its jurisdiction for their economic, professional, and social advancement. It shall be the aim of the Association to secure for all members adequate compensation for the peformance of their professional duties and to improve conditions of employment through collective labor activities; and to promote, foster and encourage the welfare of the social relationship of the Irvine Police Department; and through community service projects, develop a better relationship between the police and the community.

The Association is founded on the principles that peace officers, united in mutual interest and acting in a spirit of cooperation, may through the free exercise of their constitutional freedoms of association and self-organization, best promote their own welfare.
