IPA in the Community
About the Irvine Police Association
The Irvine Police Association is dedicated to serving the citizens and community of Irvine. Its charitable goal is to promote, foster and encourage the welfare of the Irvine Police Department through community service, develop a cooperative relationship between the police and the community, and to assist community groups, schools and charities in fundraising. We are a non-profit tax-exempt organization under 501(c) 5 of the IRC. Annually we donate thousands of dollars towards various charities within the City of Irvine by direct donations or service to these groups. We are proud to support the following organizations: Team Kids, Baker to Vegas Relay, YMCA, Shop with a Cop, Special Olympics, Golden Badge Foundation, California Peace Officer Memorial Foundation, Police and Fire Olympics, Project 999, Crime Survivors, Women’s Shelter, Families Forward, USMC 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Southern California Half Marathon, Irvine Children's Fund, Trauma Intervention Programs, Irvine Community Drug Prevention, Wounded Warriors Foundation, American Cancer Society, ITSA, Exchange Club of Irvine, University High School, Woodbridge High School, Northwood High School, Irvine High School, and Beckman High School.
Events
The Irvine Police Association sponsors two community events every year, a Spring Festival and a Fourth of July Celebration.
The annual Spring Festival, formerly known as the Children's Variety Show, is held every year. The event includes games and activities that allow children to win prizes, a magic show, and other entertainment geared towards the children of Irvine and the surrounding communities.
The annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration and Concert on the Green is held every July 4th in the stadium at Irvine High School.
If you have questions about these events, please contact Vince Palazzolo at
